MAUNGDAW: About 15 military personnel and Border Guard Police (BGP) abruptly entered Raimmabil (Yedwinchaung), northern Maungdaw at around 10:15 am local time, Tuesday, October 25 and started firing gun into the crowd today where two Rohingya were confirmed seriously wounded.

A villager requested not to be named said, “our chairman was called twice to Kyikanpyin BGP Commanding Centre where he was beaten each time with false allegations as he and his brother are linked with the attackers.” The police asked to handover the brother of the chairman immediately. He continued “the arrestees are not get a chance to stay alive without any specific reason. So how can he hand his brother over them. Every now and then they start killing, arresting, raping and looting.”

Since the attacks by “unknown assailants group”, the Burmese government is conducting rampageous campaign of extrajudicial killings, arbitrary arrests, gang rapes, tortures and conspiracy against Rohingya in the Muslim majority township, which remains the target of Rakhine nationalists and military in order to depopulate and exterminate Rohingya completely from Rakhine State.
